True Story: I Ate My Own Breast Milk

Oh yes I did. And not like those La Leche Leaguers who taste their own breast milk to make sure it’s not sour. And not like Nashbill Mama’s huzbo who eats it cause he eats everything. This was on accident. A totally surprising disgusting accident. Turns out that you shouldn’t put the baby’s rice cereal breast milk concoction in a bowl right next to the guacamole you’re dipping your chip in. You may or may not dip your chip in the rice cereal thereby EATING A GIANT GOB OF YOUR OWN BREAST MILK. True story.
Excuse me while I go light my mouth on fire.

I have accidentally tasted my own breastmilk too- I was warming a bottle and put it on my wrist and the licked it off. I guess I thought it was a drip of ice cream but it definitely wasn’t. It freaked me out. It still kinda freaks me out. I can’t even explain why.

I like true stories. My husband was obsessed with lactating women until I was one. Then, for some reason I don’t know why, he was disgusted. Maybe, just maybe because that’s where our little precious angel son got his nourishment. Grow up Men.

I know this freaks you out, WM, cause breast milk freaks you out for some reason. Maybe you’re 12. But I remember mentioning to you that putting some breast milk droplets in Lil C’s nose when he was really stuffy would help. I think I heard you gag over the phone.

yeah- I’m just not really keen on drinking my own breastmilk. I don’t even think that makes me weird. Ok- Science Mama- do you sit around drinking it? Do you mix it with your White Russians or something?
